Boston.com: 3 New England restaurants land on OpenTable’s Top 100 in America
One Boston restaurant and two Portland standouts made the unranked Top 100, compiled from millions of verified OpenTable reviews.

Boston’s restaurant scene has been in the national spotlight recently — first with its debut in the Michelin Guide, and now with recognition from OpenTable. The reservation platform released its annual Top 100 Restaurants in the U.S. list, and three New England spots made the cut: one restaurant in Boston and two in Portland, Maine.
Krasi, a Greek restaurant in the Back Bay, earned a place on the list. Opened in 2020 in the former Cafe Jaffa space, Krasi has been a standout, ranking No. 18 on Boston magazine’s Top 50 Restaurants list.
“Krasi is love. Krasi is life. Krasi is wine, literally,” its OpenTable overview reads. “Krasi is about conversations and the people immersed in them. It’s about new friends, old friends, and turning strangers into friends.” The restaurant has been praised for its extensive wine list and menu that spans flavors from northern Greece to Macedonia.
Portland, Maine claimed two spots on the list. Fore Street, a longtime staple that opened in 1996, features a farm-to-table approach and daily-changing menu. Its OpenTable description underscores its commitment to the local food community. “Our menu changes every day and is founded upon the very best raw materials from a community of Maine farmers, fisherman, foragers and cheese makers.”
Also featured was Scales, a traditional New England seafood spot on Portland’s waterfront. It’s fried seafood, locally-sourced dishes, and harbor views have made it a favorite destination.
The Top 100 list was not ranked. It was based on more than 10 million reviews from verified OpenTable users, along with dining metrics collected between Sept. 1, 2024 and Aug. 31, 2025.
